CARING FOR YOUR kami objects

Most of our items are made from robust stoneware clay. Be careful not to drop your pieces onto a hard surface or knock them against another item as this may cause them to chip, hairline fracture that will open up over time, or break completely.

Functional Tableware & Sculptures - Although our tableware is dishwasher safe, to avoid breakage whilst enduring a long and hot clean clinking around with other dishes, simply wash by hand in warm water. This will also preserve their lifespan.

Any pieces with gold lustre glaze need to be hand washed; or over time, the gold will start to wear off.

Jewellery should be stored inside the box they were sent in when not being worn. If makeup should rub onto your earrings or necklace, carefully wipe down with a damp cloth and a touch of organic/eco cream cleanser to remove. Wipe again with a clean cloth to remove any remaining residue. We suggest putting your jewellery on whilst standing on a rug or carpet, incase you do accidentally drop them, and treating your homewares with care - e.g handwashing mugs and bowls.

Tassel maintenance - carefully comb your tassels with a fine tooth comb, only when needed.

Wall Hangings - hangings with tassels, see tassel maintenance above. Wall hangings should be hung out of the sun to prevent colour fading on the rope.

Hangings with ceramics - see jewellery maintenance above for cleaning instructions.
